The Promise Is: Righteousness

He staggered not at the promise of God through unbelief;
but was strong in faith, giving GLORY to God;
And being fully persuaded that, what he had promised,
 he was able also to perform.
And therefore it was imputed to him for RIGHTEOUSNESS.
 Now it was not written for his sake alone,
that it was imputed to him;
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed,
if we believe on him that raised up JESUS our Lord from the dead;
Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.
~*~Romans 4:20-25 ~*~

Written for me: the friend of God who was strong in faith. Written for me: a faith that staggers not at the promise of God. Written for me: a Savior Who died and rose again, my righteousness. Written for me: Jesus.

  2. The simplicity of the gospel is often overlooked as we humans seem to twist and distort it into something difficult to undestand and live by. You have reminded me, once again, that this Gospel is for me and the promises of God are relevant and true in my life this very moment. Kenzi, I very much admire your godly wisdom and perspective. Thank you, sweet friend.
